Rubicon Radio Services CC was established as a legal entity during 2009 after it was decided to ring fence it as a separate business from its parent company, Rubicon Security Services CC.

The parent company, Rubicon Security Services CC was established in 1996. In an effort to make provision for two-way communication between the security personnel and the different security stations, Rubicon has established its own Radio department at the time. Soon the demand was created whereby third party clients wanted to purchase two-way radio equipment from Rubicon. This demand has resulted in the Rubicon Radio department to become a large business arm. The shareholders eventually decided to establish Rubicon Radio Services as a separate business entity.

Rubicon Radio Services CC is providing a professional two-way communication service to clients throughout Central, Western ,South and Northern Namibia. Rubicon has a fully equipped office and workshop in Tsumeb from where they operate. Rubicon technicians are constantly on the road to service remote areas.

Rubicon Radio’s is the exclusive agent for Kenwood two-way communication equipment in Namibia. In addition to supplying hand-held radios, base sets and satellite communication systems, Rubicon Radios also installs, maintains and repair radio- and repeater systems.

Since 2003 Rubicon has been awarded “Top Distributor” of Kenwood products.
